Visualize Reaching Your Goals:

Through visualization, you can increase your receptivity to new opportunities that come your way. You can also decrease pain and limitation. The most effective visualizations include mental images and corresponding emotional states. Here is a successful technique:

--Sit in a chair, or on the floor with your back as tall as possible, feet flat on the floor, and hands resting gently on your lap. To focus your attention, take a few deep breaths, observing your chest and abdomen as you inhale and exhale. If your mind is very active, or you experience pain, simply observe it without judgment as you continue to breathe deeply.  Do this while waiting at the bank,shopping,walking instead of getting caught up in the "stuff" around you.
--When you feel calmer, let your breathing return to normal and imagine that you have accomplished one of your long‐term financial or lifestyle goals;  i.e., weight loss, fitness, relationship, stress reduction, financial security. See yourself in this state of mastery, enjoying your success and sharing your satisfaction, joy, or pride with others. Sit with this image and feeling for several minutes, create vivid images.  
--Next, silently repeat affirmations, followed by a power word (pick a word or phrase like "amazing",  "Go for it", "On fire"), such as “I have reached my goal of…” (power word), “I am creating power from the inside out” (power word), "My mind is clear and steady" (power word), My relationship is completely fulfilling, or ”I have everything I need" (power word). Continue to imagine the experience of reaching your goal, including the feeling states you hope to achieve.  Enhance the image in whatever way you wish, perhaps by picturing the people with whom you intend to share the results of your efforts, picturing the setting you're in with sights, sounds, and smells, picturing what you look and feel like in detail achieving the goal.
--If your mind wanders, gently bring it back to this focal point, savoring the feelings of success. If fear or anxiety arise, repeat your power word until the counterproductive feeling dissipates.
--Sit with the image and related feelings for as long as you wish. When you are ready, gently return your attention to your body, take a deep breath, and open your eyes.  Take this "on the road" wherever you go and watch the opportunities "show up" as you powerfully manifest them.
--Repeat every day this week and watch what happens to your life!
